Day 254

Standing

Well Adeline is trying real hard to stand now...I think she is getting the hand of the walking thing and is starting to enjoy it a bit more.  Today she crawled up on to the flat of coke that was sitting in the living room waiting to be taken to the basement.  She then pushed up on to her feet and started straitening out her legs...I totally thought she was going to sit back, right off the edge, but she didn't.  We also did some walking practice in the basement.  Daddy at one end and Mommy at the other (about 5 steps apart).  We would help her get started and then she would finish walking herself to the other person...It was great.  There were times when she was taking 3-4 wobbly steps on her own.  By then end she was getting much better.  

Day 199

I can stand

Adeline is now using any and everything to stand. She is even cruising around the furniture too!

Day 195

Standing

Wow Oh Wow!!! You have made some physical leaps and bounds these last couple days!!!! Today you were pulling yourself up all over the place. In your crib, at the couch, at the plant stand, the bath tub and even at the toilet. Every time I turned around you were pulling your self up on something or just standing there as happy as can be, you impress even yourself sometimes ;) Even tonight rather than going to sleep you were having fun standing up and biting the edge of your crib or playing with the lamp on your dresser.

Day 194

Friends

You had your friend Charlotte over for a visit today. She eats much, much slower than you, so while she was finishing her meal you decided to pick up her scraps from the floor and play with her feet...good thing she is easy going ;)

Helper

While I was making dinner this evening you wanted to help by take out a casserole dish for me...which wold have been really helpful had I actually been making a casserole. Maybe we'll try again tomorrow!

Other note without a pic...today when I put you down for a nap all of a sudden you were crying out pretty loud (and I knew your nap was not over, because I had just put you down 15 minutes ago)...well when I went in to your room you were STANDING!!!! You had figured out how to pull yourself up and you could not get back down. Well I guess it's time to put your crib down to the lowest setting finally.

Day 123

It Won't Be Long Now

Just today Adeline got her knees up under her and has begun rocking a but...I am sure she will be crawling in the next week or week and a half! Exciting times in the Milligan house!

Helping With the Laundry

Adeline was having a lot of fun standing in front of the laundry basket and going through all the pieces of clothing.

Adeline Loves the Fish

Remember how Adeline used to say F-F-F for the word fish when looking at the fish tank...well today she looked right up at the fish tank and said ssshhh (see the video below for proof, you will have to listen carefully)...again it won't be long until she puts the f and the sh together!

Today was a BIG day

Adeline learned to bring her knees up under herself, she stood holding on to something independently, she said ssshhh (for fish) and then mimicked Daddy and said Da-da.
