Daddy Lovin'

Adeline has started enjoying the occasional hug and she sometimes will even lay with us for more than 5 seconds. But she has to be on her back and when the 5 seconds is up, you better be letting her back to motor around.

Day 191

Snuggles

Because we weaned you this week you have been craving some extra snuggles lately. This afternoon you had your snack of Graham crackers and milk while hanging on Daddy's knee. You two are just too cute!

Day 123

It Won't Be Long Now

Just today Adeline got her knees up under her and has begun rocking a but...I am sure she will be crawling in the next week or week and a half! Exciting times in the Milligan house!

Helping With the Laundry

Adeline was having a lot of fun standing in front of the laundry basket and going through all the pieces of clothing.

Adeline Loves the Fish

Remember how Adeline used to say F-F-F for the word fish when looking at the fish tank...well today she looked right up at the fish tank and said ssshhh (see the video below for proof, you will have to listen carefully)...again it won't be long until she puts the f and the sh together!

Today was a BIG day

Adeline learned to bring her knees up under herself, she stood holding on to something independently, she said ssshhh (for fish) and then mimicked Daddy and said Da-da.

Day 104

The Perfect Nose Bubble

All other nose bubble pictures pale in comparison to this one! This is the one I have been trying soooo hard to get for soooo long! This evening Adeline blew the most perfect nose bubble then Daddy strapped her arms down by her sides so I could get my phone out and ready to take this wonderful picture...please just forget the fact that Adeline looks just a little bit drunk in this photo and take notice of that perfectly round, huge bubble of snot attached to her nose ;)

Day 100

Looking at Pictures 

So today I laid Adeline down on the living room floor and proceed to go to the kitchen and make dinner.  It was nice; I could hear her nicely playing with herself on the floor.  I assumed that she had not yet rolled over because lately as soon as she rolls over she gets really frustrated because she cannot roll back and wants someone to help her out.  Well I could hear these sweet little coos coming from her general direction; these noises intrigued me so I went to see what was going on in the living room.  To my surprise I found her, on her tummy looking at a picture of her buddy Jack.  She had in fact rolled over, found her photo album on the floor (had to move to do so), opened up to the page with Jack’s picture on is and was having a little conversation with her friend.  It was tooooo cute! Then she turned the page and started talking to Daddy =)

Fun With Dad

Adeline was really excited to see Daddy this evening. They were having so much fun just sitting on the chair in her room talking and smiling and laughing at each other.  Check out her oh so cute elbow dimples!!!

Reading With Dad

Adeline has really been enjoying books lately...here she is listening to Daddy read a book about a Silly Baby!  I love how she just laid back, relaxed and enjoyed the story.

BTW - she rolled today and I even saw it...twice!

Day 86

My Two Sick Babies

Adeline and Daddy both got the flu last night and it of course carried over into today as well. They were (especially Adeline) a little more sensitive than usual today. But it was nice because Daddy and Baby A got some quality snuggling time!

Day 57

Sharing Daddy's Breakfast

Adeline ate her Cinnamon Oatmeal breakfast this morning, and then decided she wanted some of Daddy's blueberry pancakes. And as you can tell she really enjoyed eating what Daddy was eating.

Update on the bath pooing: Yes she did do it again today, but at least it was just a small one this time.

Day 54

Daddy Daughter Time

Adeline has a new favourite thing...to touch and eventually pull on Daddy's beard. She is infatuated with it...Mommy doesn't have one so that makes it fun and new and special and Adeline Loves it! And that makes Daddy so happy, because Mommy is not too fond of it.

By the way...Adeline pooped in the tub again, twice! No sooner did we clean the tub and fill it up so she could finish her bath did she do it again. Then Adeline got to have her first shower...we didn't want to risk putting her back in the bath for a third dump ;)

Day 44

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today was Daddy's Birthday!!! Adeline was super excited...she even wore a dress for the occasion (Daddy LOVES dresses, but Mommy never wears them). It was a good day. Kris' family came over for come coffee and brought his favourite Birthday desert, cheese cake!!! And it was delectable!

Snow Fun!

Along with a little party Daddy got to go outside and chip away at the skating rink we have for a sidewalk in front of our house. But at least the weather was perfect for some outside time! So after Adeline got up from her afternoon nap she and I went out to help, or shall I say supervise Daddy's work. Adeline was intrigued by the snow as well. She didn't move, nor make a noise; she just sat there taking it in whipping her head back and forth to watch the cars pass on by. It was funny to see her sit on the snow camouflaged from the rest of the world...only her cute as a button face poking out!

Day 43

Granma Time

Mommy and Daddy went out on a real date (one without the Baby) today...so Adeline and Granma got to have some one-on-one time. They had so much fun and did so many different things. When we got home Adeline told me all about the fun she had with Granma...drinking yummy milk, playing on the floor, jumping in the jumparoo, walking around, and talking and listening to each other; she hopes Granma will come over for another play date again ;)

Tomorrow is Daddy's birthday so Mommy wanted him to have a special date, which he has been asking and asking for...so I took him out for lunch and a movie (of his choosing). We went to see "The Fighter" which was actually pretty good.
