Day 240

Another Birthday

Uncle Timmy has FINALLY moved back!!! And because we missed his birthday and he missed Adeline's we had a mini party to celebrate!!!  

Day 219

My Little Red Wagon

For her birthday Mommy and Daddy gave Adeline a wagon...and because it has seat belts we are able to use it already! And she is lovin it!!!! Well, as long as I keep her moving. We circled the house a few times this afternoon and Adeline never tired of me pulling her around and around along the same path. We stopped to visit the puppy a few times, even taking her for a little ride too (until she had enough and jumped ship). I think the wagon is going to be a well used present for many years to come!

Day 218

1st Birthday Party

Today was Adeline's big 1st Birthday Party!!! I have to say it was a HUGE success. Many friends and family joined us to celebrate Adeline and her first year of life. We had some great food, cooked by Daddy! It was so awesome to connect with many of the Mommies and to see the Babies Adeline has grown up with over this past year. Adeline was blessed with so many wonderful gifts, we are just blown away at the generosity of both our family and friends. Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating Adeline! We love her so much!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY ADELINE!

It was 1 year ago today at exactly 8:13pm that you blessed us with your presence! We are so thankful to have such a beautiful, amazing, bright, silly, sociable, and sometimes grumpy little girl as our daughter! You truly have made our lives so full of joy and love just by being part of our family. The world is a better place with you in it! Happy 1st Birthday Adeline Everleigh Milligan!

Day 34

Happy First Half Birthday

Today is Adeline's half birthday!!! We went to Whyte ave to have a coffee and take a nice walk and because Adeline is now 6 months old she sat in her stroller like a big girl! We walked and walked and when Adeline got tired she had a little sleep (soooo cute, see picture below), which she never does when there are things to see. Today Daddy came with us for our Whyte Ave walk, which made it even more special!

Everyone always said the time would fly by and it has...I was so surprised today when I thought about the fact that it was 6 months ago today that our little bundle of fun was brought into our lives.

Dear Adeline,

It really feels like just yesterday that I went into the hospital because I had not felt you move in over 8 hours. It feels like just yesterday when the nurses told me I would not be leaving the hospital without my baby. It feels like yesterday when I was stuck for days in a windowless room waiting for you to arrive. It feels like yesterday when our doctor said, "It's a Girl!" and Daddy eagerly ran over to see if you had a chin like mine (and you did). It feels like yesterday that we held you in our arms and kissed you for the very first time. It really feels like just yesterday when you joined our family and we fell in love with you! Adeline, we are so blessed to have as part of our family, as our first born child. We are excited to see you grow and learn and to see the wonderful woman you will become!
