Day 30

Baby's Best Friend

Adeline and Chloe love each other. Adeline has learned that if she sees Chloe, leans forward and sticks out her tongue that Chloe will lick the inside of her mouth and face and chest (if there is some spit up on her clothes). This is win-win for the both of them! I have come to realize that the only readon Adeline can sit up is because she wants to see and touch Chloe. So if she is sitting on the floor then Chloe will immediately come and see her. Chloe has learned that when Adeline burps she should come running, because there are bound to be some delicious juices dripping from Adeline's face on to the floor.

Day 29

Look Mom, Two Teeth!

On Monday one tiny little tooth finally broke through and then just two days later the second. It only took me a week to get a picture of the evidence...here they are the tiny little teeth, it's kind of like Where's Waldo...can you find Adeline's real teeth?

Day 28

Mommy's Group Get Together

Today Adeline and I joined most of the mommies (Sheeba and baby Kiran were missed) from our Mommy group at Nez's house. We enjoyed a traditional Lebanese meal (which was d.e.licious!!!!), some great conversation and lots of baby play time. It was great to all get together again as Adeline and I have not seen some of those mommies and babies since well before Christmas. It is so much fun to see how the babies are growing and changing and how because of that how their interactions change as well.

Day 27

Adeline Likes to Do Laundry

Adeline was being real helpful today...she was sorting the socks while Mommy folded the laundry. She was also practicing her sitting up skills in a place where her face is protected! By the way Adeline is getting VERY good a sitting up. She had a friend over today and she sat and played with him for quite some time.

Another good thing about the laundry basket...it is going to become another of Mommy's trusted babysitters!

New Shoes

For Christmas, from Uncle Timmy, Adeline got some new shoes...they were the cutest vans that I ever did see! But Adeline has fat feet (not long, just fat), so the ones he got her were way too small...I couldn't even get them on her feet. So I exchanged them for the size bigger. Well I brought those home and tried them on her feet and much to my dismay I could barely get them on her feet, but when I finally did she had a whole inch until her toes would touch the end. So I exchanged them for the velcro variety...the ones where she can have fat feet and I don't have to squish her feet into them! Meeting New Friends

Back when I was in high school I had a good friend named Heather. Heather and I played many sports together...well Heather had a daughter just three months after Adeline was born. Her name is Mackenzie. Mackenzie and Adeline met and became instant friends today. Good times were had by all!
