Reading

Adeline loves books and reading.  She is the biggest reader I know.  Even more than Mommy and Daddy! She still ventures off at all times during the day to go in her room and "read!" Well, I filled a bucked with Halloween books and trick-or-treating buckets and stuffies from my teaching days; she LOVES it.  It is just in the living room and easiyl accessible any time and does she ever take advantage if its accessibility; she looks through the books ALL the time.

Our Little Reader

I think Adeline reads more than she does anything else...here she is reading her (upside-down) book in the car. This is one of her favourite books right now...it is full of photographs and it even has a few of Kittys (Ki-kes). 

Day 217

Reading - Again

Adeline has started going into her room periodically to read books. She will just craw down the hall into her room and choose some books from her shelf and spend some quality time reading her favourite books. Today I went into her room and she was between her chair and shelf reading 'How Many Kisses Goodnight' a before nap and bedtime favourite. I think she spent about half an hour looking through and 'reading' books to herself today. I love that we have instilled a love of literature in our daughter. I hope these lessons continue with her into adulthood too!

Adeline Loves to Read

She especially loves reading books with babies in them. She is able to flip the pages all by herself and everything...not that she gets to see all the pages, but she always makes sure she sees her favourites ;) As she reads she also will tell the story, using inflection her her voice and everything! I love to just sit and enjoy the amazingness of my daughter. Today I caught her reading 10 Little Fingers and 10 Little Toes By Mem Fox. This is one of her (and my) favourite books right now. As you can see she especially loves at the end when the baby is kissing her Mama...I love that part too!

Day 127

Look at all those teeth...

Good thing Adeline knows how to brush her teeth, because she sure has a lot to take care of. 7 have popped and #8 is a very large bump on her top gums and #9 from what I can see will not be too far behind. As you may already know, Adeline is not the best teether around, so this has made for some very interesting days lately =) Here's hoping we get a break from teething some time before her 18th birthday!

Reading With Uncle Timmy

Uncle Timmy surprised us with a visit to Edmonton the other day...when I say surprise, I mean surprise. He just showed up at our house the other day and we had no idea he was even in town...it was awesome! Well today he came over to get some face time with Adeline. They had a short, but good visit. As you can see, she very much enjoyed having her uncle read to her...I think they read 10 in the hour and a half she was awake for his visit.

The Perfect Nose Bubble

All other nose bubble pictures pale in comparison to this one! This is the one I have been trying soooo hard to get for soooo long! This evening Adeline blew the most perfect nose bubble then Daddy strapped her arms down by her sides so I could get my phone out and ready to take this wonderful picture...please just forget the fact that Adeline looks just a little bit drunk in this photo and take notice of that perfectly round, huge bubble of snot attached to her nose ;)
