Farmer's Market

We took a family trip to the Strathscona Farmer's Market this morning. Mommy and Daddy thought it was a lot of fun, but Adeline not so much.  But let's be honest here, is a sick and tired baby really excited about anything other than sleeping when it's nap time? In this photo Adeline was about half an hour overdue for her morning nap and it was time to get outta there and fast.  The only thing that was keeping her this happy was watching the guy playing the blues on his guitar (see top picture)...she loved his music, well really she just loves music, but she was really enjoying him!

Day 86

My Two Sick Babies

Adeline and Daddy both got the flu last night and it of course carried over into today as well. They were (especially Adeline) a little more sensitive than usual today. But it was nice because Daddy and Baby A got some quality snuggling time!

Day 83

Snot Bubbles

Finally I captured some! Adeline does not appear to be sick other than the thick yellow snot that continually drips from her nose and sudden onset irritability I have been experiencing. But I found the greatest nasal aspirator the other day (well for 20 bucks it better be amazing) so it has been helping her (and me) get more sleep...except last night when she was up every 2-3 hours. So about the nasal aspirator, you put the one end in her nostril and on the other end there is a hose that goes to a mouth piece where I can literally suck the snot out of her nose (son't worry it doesn't go into my mouth or anything). It really is the best...I did not realize that such a little thing could produce so may boogers and that there was a way to actually get those boogers out!

Day 73

Hangin With Uncle Timmy

Uncle Timmy came over to have some quality Adeline time while in town. And as you can see Chloe had to get in there too! Adeline had lots of fun playing with Uncle Timmy and is excited to see him again before he goes home.

Day 72

I Scream, You Scream

Apparently Adeline likes ice cream (well technically frozen yogurt...but it doesn't have the same ring to it). What person in their right mind would shun this sweet, tasty, cold treat, especially if their nose it too plugged to drink from a bottle and they have been cutting some nasty teeth for well over a week now.

Day 48

On The Mend

Now that Adeline is feeling better The Husband and I are getting what she had...but it so much easier to deal with a sick Mommy and Daddy than a sick baby! We even went out on a little date this afternoon. The whole family went to Good Earth Cafe and had some good eats and good drink. Adeline got to sit in the big girl highchair and shared a pannin with Mommy (she got some of the bread;) It was really nice to get out again...I feel like I have been cooped up for a week, oh wait I have been cooped up for a week, well almost.

Yesterday I did not have the mental space or energy to share about the night before last (thankfully last night was much, much better) because it was bad and it sucked. What I will say is I was up at least every 2 hours and had to change all Adeline's clothing and bedding in the middle of the night.

On a funnier note...a couple nights ago Adeline pooped in the bath! It was soooooo funny!

Sick Baby

We have a sick and teething baby on our hands today. I know, I know she doesn't look that sick in the pictures, but really she is. She was so sick today. we both stayed in our PJs all day long! She has this croupy cough which sounds a little productive, but of course Adeline cannot yet clear any accumulating phlegm out. Adeline was an unusually needy baby today; she wanted to be held and walking around with me (or Daddy when he got home) for most of the day...I mentioned to a friend on Facebook who kindly asked me if I needed anything that all I need today is a nice long back massage (to ease the pain of holding A all day long). Included in this time she needed constant snuggling was nap time...she napped all of 20 minutes alone today, other than that she needed to be held and rocking just to get the rest she needed. But in good news, she ate solid food like a champ tonight (3oz of Carrots for dinner), but the bad of that is she refused to drink her milk at times today and is a little dehydrated because of this. All these trials today make for a very tired Mommy as well! Hopefully we have a better night tonight than we did last night.
