Day 190

Bath Snack

So today was the first day you did not have even one bottle. It's nice, and not so nice all at the same time. You used to have 3 bottles and 3 meals a day, but now you are all over the 6-7 meals a day. I now realize that it was easier to feed you a bottle of formula than to make and feed you a meal. So now because you are not taking a bottle before bed anymore we decided to give you a bath snack - that's a snack when you are in the bath. You LOVED it!!! You ate all that I had made and drank some milk too. Then you got changed for bed, Daddy read you some books and you fell asleep within 5 minutes of your head hitting your pillow. It was great!! You are becoming such a big girl!

Day 116

Bubbles in the Bath

We have not yet introuduced Adeline to the wonderful world of the bubble bath, but we have let her become acquainted with bubbles while in the bath. Daddy or Mommy will blow bubbles and Adeline will try to catch them in her mouth...so cute! She loves it. Sometimes she just watches them, others she opens up wide and sticks out her mouth to see if she can catch a big one in there and now she has even started trying to catch them with her hands. Oh the fun and wonder of bubbles has begun, and I am looking forward to it continuing for a very long time...and at least at this point I get to have most of the fun, because she lets me blow the bubbles, for now ;)

Day 58

Adeline's Fish

We dismantled our 40gal fish tank today and decided to put the much, much smaller one (10gal) back up. And rather than having it in the dining room, where the BIG one was, we decided to put it in the living room; this way we will actually be able to enjoy it! Well Adeline is already a huge fan, as you may be able to tell from the intent gaze she is giving the tank in one photo and the big smile she is flashing in the other. I asked Adeline "Adeline, do you like the fish?" and I gave me that big smile...I'm gonna take that as a yes. I think the fish tank has replaced the computer visualizer as Adeline's favourite pass time.

The nightly bath dump ritual continues...Daddy is threatening short and sweet baths from now on if this doesn't stop...I just can't help but laugh.

Day 54

Daddy Daughter Time

Adeline has a new favourite thing...to touch and eventually pull on Daddy's beard. She is infatuated with it...Mommy doesn't have one so that makes it fun and new and special and Adeline Loves it! And that makes Daddy so happy, because Mommy is not too fond of it.

By the way...Adeline pooped in the tub again, twice! No sooner did we clean the tub and fill it up so she could finish her bath did she do it again. Then Adeline got to have her first shower...we didn't want to risk putting her back in the bath for a third dump ;)

Day 5

Bath Time

Adeline Loves bath time with Daddy. Even on the fussiest of nights she laughs and smiles as soon as she gets in the bathroom.
